Our Work

Health

Community health and mental health support for vulnerable populations

About the Programme

Health initiatives focus on community health, mental health support, and improving access to healthcare for vulnerable and marginalized populations — particularly those affected by communal violence and social conflict.

Violence and displacement leave lasting physical and psychological wounds. Aman's health programme addresses both immediate and long-term health needs, working with trained practitioners, local health workers, and community volunteers to deliver care where it is needed most.

Focus Areas

Our health work spans four priority areas linking immediate care to systemic change.

Mental Health & Psychosocial Support

Providing counselling, trauma support, and psychosocial first aid to survivors of communal violence and conflict.

Community Health Awareness

Conducting health camps, awareness sessions, and outreach programmes in underserved neighbourhoods.

Reproductive & Maternal Health

Empowering women with information and access to reproductive health services, antenatal care, and safe delivery.

Healthcare Access for Conflict-Affected Communities

Bridging gaps in public health infrastructure for communities displaced or marginalised by social conflict.

Health Policy Advocacy

Our health work is complemented by advocacy and research efforts aimed at systemic policy-level change — ensuring that marginalized communities are visible in national health policy.
